In a period in which I was feeling unhappy and dissatisfied with various aspects of my life without really knowing why, counselling provided a supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to explore the many separate but interrelated issues. Using the family constellations method I gained an understanding of my relationship with individual family members that has helped me to move on from old patterns of behaviour in concrete situations.
Visualisations allowed me finally to let go of past relationships and look at deep-seated fears and insecurities. It has been a revealing, sometimes painful, but rewarding journey that has helped me grow and better understand my feelings.
I've regained the self-confidence and creativity I lost somewhere along the way. And on a very practical note, I've also learned some extremely valuable relaxation and visualisation techniques that mean I can now better manage my fear of flying.

My partner and I were having the same arguments without leading to any solutions for far too long. At the point of separation we decided to try couple counselling. In the process David helped us improve our communication and find some of the love and respect which we had lost sight of within our relationship.
We have managed to address some difficult problems and find compromises, which we can both live happily with. We have also learnt to accept our differences. We still have disagreements but now we are able to reach solutions together.

At a time of separation, counselling helped us remain focussed on our children and find a way out of the constant battles with each other, which we had become accustomed to. Counselling helped us talk to the children and explain why we would no longer be living together. It also gave the children an opportunity to express their feelings. The difficulties we were dealing with at home were also causing negative changes for our eldest child at school.
A combination of individual sessions and sessions together with the children not only brought a sense of manageable calm into the chaos we were living in, they also had a positive effect on school behaviour. I’m sure that counselling helped reduce the amount of stress we had at this difficult time. Thanks.
